Helicopter Crash in Qatar Claims the Lives of 3 Turkish and 4 Qatari Personnel

The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Türkiye issued a statement regarding a helicopter crash in Qatar. The statement noted that military cooperation and coordination activities between Türkiye and Qatar continue uninterrupted within the framework of existing agreements. It was reported that on the evening of March 21, a helicopter belonging to the Qatari Armed Forces crashed into the sea following a technical malfunction.
Search and rescue operations successfully located the wreckage of the helicopter and recovered the remains of the fallen personnel. Four Qatari service members and three Turkish personnel on board were killed in the crash.
It was stated that the exact cause of the accident will be determined following an official investigation by Qatari authorities. The statement also emphasized that joint military training activities between Türkiye and Qatar continue without interruption.
